However, i was surprised to hear that you found the building musty, especially since we monitor the humidity throughout the walker house with five hygrometers located in strategic spots, and we run large de-humidifiers (one was in your lodging room) to maintain humidity levels between 50%-60%, a level a bit higher than the average modern house at 35%-50%. Our research and experience have shown that 50%-60% moist air is healthier for human beings and feels most comfortable. We use mold strips, mold test kits, and clean with disinfectants that contain bleach. Our detectors have not indicated any mold, but with doors opening and closing to the outside dozens of times a day, there could very well have been a damp smell in the entranceway due to the rainy weather. Regarding the breakfast. Our website clearly states that lodgers receive a free continental plus breakfast, where guests can eat at their own pace (perfect for early risers and late sleepers).
